SIGs are the core operational units in the openGauss community. Formed and run by community developers, each SIG focuses on one or more technical topics, manages relevant code repositories, and drives technological implementation and continuous innovation.
Communicate with a SIG
Find SIG information, repository lists, and contact details on the SIG Center. You can also check the README.md file in the corresponding SIG directory in the openGauss community repository. Participate in discussions through mailing lists and public regular meetings. To create a meeting, the SIG Maintainer or Committer access is required.
Contribute to a SIG

Dedicated to empowering openGauss with AI4DB (autonomous management & self-learning kernel) and DB4AI (in-database algorithms & full-lifecycle AI pipelines).
Blockchain
Explores blockchain use cases and technical challenges, including consensus protocols, query processing, privacy protection, and regulatory frameworks.
Certification
Evaluates and certifies the capabilities and maturity of openGauss releases.
CloudNative
Develops and maintains cloud-native features for openGauss. Mailing list for SIG CloudNative discussion group in openGauss community.
CM
Develops and maintains common components such as O&M management, aiming to deliver a universally compatible and easily extensible set of common capabilities.
Connectors
Plans, develops, and maintains database drivers, providing efficient drivers tailored to business demands.
DCF
Provides a distributed consistency framework for openGauss DN data replication and arbitration, ensuring high availability.
Docs
Dedicated to delivering a comprehensive content system, from technical documentation to tutorials, to provide full support for openGauss users and developers.
Embedded
Drives the development, environmental tuning, O&M, and release of industrial multi-model embedded databases. We aim to create a lightweight, multi-model (relational, time-series, KV), and high-performance industrial database widely compatible with global OSs.
GIS
Geographic Information System (GIS) SIG drives the development and maintenance of the GIS in the openGauss community.
